JUZ 19.2   WA QALALLATHEENA  (وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ)

سورة الفرقان

Al-Furqaan | Sura # 25| 77 verses | Makkan

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful

 Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 049

لِنُحْيِيَ بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَا أَنْعَامًا وَأَنَاسِيَّ كَثِيرًا [ giving life to a lifeless land, and providing water for countless animals and humans of Our Own creation. ]

 Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 050

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَاهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا فَأَبَى أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا [ We distribute this water among them so that they may glorify Us, yet most people refuse to do anything except show ingratitude. ]

 Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 051

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَذِيرًا [ Had We willed, We could have easily sent a warner to every society. ]

 Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 052

فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُمْ بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا [ So, do not yield to (the demands of) the unbelievers, and strive against them relentlessly for the sake of this great struggle. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 053

وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هَذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَحْجُورًا [ And He is the One Who merges the two bodies of water,  one fresh and palatable and the other salty and bitter, placing between them a barrier they cannot cross. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 054

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا [ It is He Who has created man from water,  then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage,  for your Lord has power (over all things). ]
Water is a phenomenon (appearance) of the attribute of 'Life' (تجلّئ  حيات) of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ).  Our life dependents upon the Life of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ). Our life is from His Life and our existence is from His existence (وجودِ الهي).

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 055

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَى رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا [ Yet do they worship, besides Allah, things that can neither profit them nor harm them. And the disbeliever always collaborates against their Lord. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 056

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا [ We have not sent you (O' Prophet ﷺ) except as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 057

قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا [ Say (O' Prophet ﷺ) 'I ask of you no recompense for this work except that he who wants, may take the Right path to his Lord.' ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 058

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِ وَكَفَى بِهِ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا [ Put your trust in the Ever Living (Allah) Who never dies.  Celebrate His praise, for He suffices as the Knower of the sins of His servants. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 059

الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ الرَّحْمَنُ فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا [ The One Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne of authority; the Most Compassionate (Allah).  As to His Glory, ask the one who knows. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 060

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّحْمَنِ قَالُوا وَمَا الرَّحْمَنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا [ When it is said to them, 'Prostrate to the Most Compassionate,' they ask (in disgust), 'What is the Most Compassionate’? Will we prostrate to whatever you order us to?' And it only drives them farther away. ]
The above is the 'verse of Sajda' (آیت سجدہ).  If someone is reading it alone,  should do prostration (سجدة) alone.  If it is read loudly in an audience, the reciter and all the listeners should do 'Prostration of Recitation' (Sajda-e-Tilaawah -  سجدة التلاوة) individually.
The Prostration can be done in sitting or standing position.  In the Hanafi school of thought, 'Prostration of Recitation' (Sajda-e-Tilaawah -  سجدة التلاوة) is obligatory (Fardh).  With Shafii and Maliki, it is Sunnah.
It is in Hadith -  'When you have recited a verse requiring Sajdah-e-Tilaawaah, you should go down for Sajdah with Allahu-Akbar and rise from Sajdah with Allahu-Akbar, which may be performed sitting, though it is preferable to prostrate oneself from the standing position. (Abu Dawood)
Have the intention to do Prostration of recitation (سجدة التلاوة). The place where you are reading/reciting Quran should be clean. Turn your face towards Qibla, say (quietly) Allahu Akbar, go into prostration once, recite the 'Tasbih of Sajdah' 'Subhana Rabbi al-A'alaa' (سبحان ربّي الاعلى ) at least 3 times and raise from the Sajda saying Allahu Akbar.

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 061

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيرًا [ Blessed is the One Who has placed constellations in the sky and set a beacon (sun) in it, plus a shining moon. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 062

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا [ He is the One Who has granted night and daytime in succession for anyone who wants to reflect (on it) or wants (to show) gratitude, ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 063

وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا [ The (true) servants of the Most Compassionate are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the foolish address them (improperly), they only respond with peace (and grace). ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 064

وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا [ Who spend the night bowing down on their knees and standing before their Lord; ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 065

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا [ those who say, 'Our Lord! avert from us the torment of Hell, for its torment is indeed a grievous affliction.]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 066

إِنَّهَا سَاءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا [ 'Evil indeed is it (Hell) as an abode, and as a place of stay.']

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 067

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنْفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَوَامًا [ Those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes);]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 068

وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آَخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا [ who do not invoke any god apart from Allah, who do not take a life which Allah has forbidden except for a cause that is just, and do not fornicate; and any one who does so, will be punished for the crime,]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 069

يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا [ Torment will be doubled for him on Resurrection Day and he will remain disgraced forever in it. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 070

إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآَمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا [ As for those who repent, believe, and do good deeds, they are the ones whose evil deeds Allah will change into good deeds. For Allah is All Forgiving, Most Merciful. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 071

وَمَنْ تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا [ And those who repent and do righteous deeds, then surely they repent to Allah (with true) repentance. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 072

وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا كِرَامًا [ And those who don’t bear witness to falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity (without getting involved in it). ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 073

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِآَيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا [ (They are) those who, when reminded of the revelation of their Lord, do not turn a blind eye or a deaf ear to it. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 074

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا [ (They are) those who pray, 'Our Lord! Bless us with (pious) spouses and offspring who will be the joy of our hearts, and make us leading models of the righteous.' ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 075

أُولَئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَامًا [ It is they who will be rewarded with (elevated) mansions (in Paradise) for their perseverance, and will be received with salutations and (greetings of) peace. ]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 076

خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا [ They shall live forever in that excellent dwelling and excellent resting place!]

Juz 18, Al-Furqaan, Verse 077

قُلْ مَا يَعْبَأُ بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًا [ Say (O Prophet  ﷺ) : 'My Lord does not care at all if you invoke Him or not. Now that you have rejected His revelations, soon you will face the inevitable punishment.']
