بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate and the Merciful

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 031

(He did that as per the command) but when he saw it slithering (by becoming) like a snake, he ran away without looking back. (Allah reassured him), 'O Musa (عليه السلام)! Draw near (and pick it up), and have no fear. You are perfectly secure. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 032

اسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِي جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوءٍ وَاضْمُمْ إِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ الرَّهْبِ فَذَانِكَ بُرْهَانَانِ مِنْ رَبِّكَ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ [ (And) 'Put your (right) hand into your bosom (from the opening of your shirt) : it will come forth shining white without flaw.  And now hold your arms close to yourself free of awe (and be ready to receive My command). These are two evidences (of your Apostleship) from your Lord (for you to demonstrate) to Pharaoh and his chiefs. Surely, they are transgressing people.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 033

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي قَتَلْتُ مِنْهُمْ نَفْسًا فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ [ Musa (عليه السلام) said, 'My Lord, I have killed one of their people and fear that they may kill me.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 034

وَأَخِي هَارُونُ هُوَ أَفْصَحُ مِنِّي لِسَانًا فَأَرْسِلْهُ مَعِيَ رِدْءًا يُصَدِّقُنِي إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ [ 'And my brother Haroon (عليه السلام) is more eloquent than I, so send him with me as a helper to support what I say, for I truly fear they may reject me.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 035

قَالَ سَنَشُدُّ عَضُدَكَ بِأَخِيكَ وَنَجْعَلُ لَكُمَا سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يَصِلُونَ إِلَيْكُمَا بِآَيَاتِنَا أَنْتُمَا وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكُمَا الْغَالِبُونَ [ Allah said : 'We shall strengthen your arm with your brother, and give you power with Our signs and give you authority, so that they will not be able to harm you. Both of you,  and your followers will be victorious.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 036

فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ مُوسَى بِآَيَاتِنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالُوا مَا هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُفْتَرًى وَمَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَذَا فِي آَبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ [ When Musa (عليه السلام) came to them (Pharaoh and his chiefs) with Our clear signs, they said : 'This is nothing but fabricated magic. We never heard this from our forefathers.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 037

وَقَالَ مُوسَى رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ جَاءَ بِالْهُدَى مِنْ عِنْدِهِ وَمَنْ تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدَّارِ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ Musa (عليه السلام) said, 'My Lord knows best who has come with guidance from Him and whose end will be good in the Hereafter. Those who are unjust never succeed.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 038

I know of no other god, for you,  but myself.  So bake bricks out of clay for me, and O' Haman (Pharaoh's Minister), build a high tower so I may (go up and) look at the God of Musa (عليه السلام), although I am sure he is a liar.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 039

وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ [ Pharaoh and his armies behaved arrogantly in the land with no right.  They thought they would not be brought back to Us. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 040

فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الظَّالِمِينَ [ So We seized him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea.   Behold,  then how was the end of the wicked! ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 041

وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى النَّارِ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا يُنْصَرُونَ [ We made them leaders (Pharaoh and his chiefs) calling (others) only to the Fire.  On the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 042

وَأَتْبَعْنَاهُمْ فِي هَذِهِ الدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ هُمْ مِنَ الْمَقْبُوحِينَ [ We have caused a curse to follow them in this world and, on the Day of Judgement, they will be among the despised. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 043

وَلَقَدْ آَتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَهْلَكْنَا الْقُرُونَ الْأُولَى بَصَائِرَ لِلنَّاسِ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ [ After We had destroyed the earlier generations, We gave Musa (عليه السلام) the Book as enlightenment to the people, and as guidance and mercy so that they might be reminded. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 044

وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الْغَرْبِيِّ إِذْ قَضَيْنَا إِلَى مُوسَى الْأَمْرَ وَمَا كُنْتَ مِنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ [ You were not there (O Prophet  ﷺ) on the western side of the mountain when We entrusted the Commandments to Musa (عليه السلام), nor were you present (in his time). ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 045

وَلَكِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَا قُرُونًا فَتَطَاوَلَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ وَمَا كُنْتَ ثَاوِيًا فِي أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ تَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آَيَاتِنَا وَلَكِنَّا كُنَّا مُرْسِلِينَ [ But (after them) We brought into being many generations and long indeed were the ages that passed over those generations. You were not living (physically) among the people of Midian, reciting to them Our revelations; but it is We Who are sending to you the news of that time. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 046

وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا وَلَكِنْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ [ And you were not at the side of Mount Ṭur when We called out (to Musa - عليه السلام). But (you have been sent) as a mercy from your Lord to warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, so perhaps they may be mindful. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 047

وَلَوْلَا أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُوا رَبَّنَا لَوْلَا أَرْسَلْتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولًا فَنَتَّبِعَ آَيَاتِكَ وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ [ In case a disaster had struck them (Makkan Pagans) because of what they had already done, they would have said, 'Our Lord, why did You not send us an Apostle so that we could have followed Your commands, and been with those who are believers;' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 048

فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا قَالُوا لَوْلَا أُوتِيَ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى أَوَلَمْ يَكْفُرُوا بِمَا أُوتِيَ مُوسَى مِنْ قَبْلُ قَالُوا سِحْرَانِ تَظَاهَرَا وَقَالُوا إِنَّا بِكُلٍّ كَافِرُونَ [ But when the truth came to them from Us, they said, 'If only he (the Prophet  ﷺ) was given the like of what Musa (عليه السلام) had been given.'  Did they not deny what had been given Musa (عليه السلام) earlier? They (Makkan pagans) claimed, 'Both (Scriptures, Quran and Taurait) are works of magic, supporting each other!' Adding, 'We truly deny both.']

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 049

قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِكِتَابٍ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ هُوَ أَهْدَى مِنْهُمَا أَتَّبِعْهُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ [ Say, (O Prophet  ﷺ), 'Bring then a scripture from Allah which is a better guide than these two so I may follow it, if your claim is true.'  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 050

فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكَ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنَ اتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ بِغَيْرِ هُدًى مِنَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ [ But if they do not respond to you, then know that they are only following their whims and desires. And who is more lost than one who follows his own whims and desires without guidance from Allah? Allah does not guide unjust people.  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 051

وَلَقَدْ وَصَّلْنَا لَهُمُ الْقَوْلَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ [ Verily We have conveyed to them the Word (one verse after the other, and one chapter after the other for their good) so that they may reflect and be mindful.  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 052

الَّذِينَ آَتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ هُمْ بِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ [ (As for) those (faithfuls) to whom We had given the Scripture before this (the Quran), they do believe in it.  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 053

وَإِذَا يُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ قَالُوا آَمَنَّا بِهِ إِنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مُسْلِمِينَ [ When it (the Quran) is recited to them, they say, 'We believe in it. It is the Truth from our Lord. We had devoted ourselves to Allah even before this came to us.'  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 054

أُولَئِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ أَجْرَهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيَدْرَءُونَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ  [ They are the ones who will be given their reward twice, because they have endured with fortitude, repelling evil with good and giving in charity out of what We have given them.  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 055

وَإِذَا سَمِعُوا اللَّغْوَ أَعْرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَقَالُوا لَنَا أَعْمَالُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَالُكُمْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا نَبْتَغِي الْجَاهِلِينَ [ And when they hear evil vain talk, they withdraw from it and say : 'To us are our deeds and to you are your deeds. Peace be on you. We don’t seek the (way of the) ignorant.'  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 056

إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِي مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ [ You surely cannot guide whoever you like (O Prophet  ﷺ) but it is Allah Who guides whoever He wills, and He knows best who are (fit to be) guided.  ]

Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) has created all the things in this Cosmos with His prior knowledge.  He knew about all His creations, and their attributes before their creation.  Therefore, among human beings, Allah knows who is capable of accepting the faith and who is devoid of it.  This aspect has been explained in the above verse.  Prophet Mohammad (0 is mercy on all the worlds.  His message is for all.  But to accept or reject the message depends upon the individual human nature.
It is in Quran -  وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ ۖ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ  [ And certainly We have created for Hell many of the jinn and the men; they have hearts with which they do not understand, and they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear; they are as cattle, nay, they are in worse errors; these are the heedless ones. ] (Al-A'raaf - 179)
How can we follow the right path?

Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) has provided humans with mind, heart and  senses and they are required to use them in finding facts in this cosmos.  As an additional help,  He sent His Prophets and Apostles to teach humanity about the truth of this cosmos.  Now, it is up to the individual to make good use of his faculties and find the right path.  If you get attracted to the spurious, then Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) light of guidance which is inherently kept in human hearts, goes away.  Once the darkness occupies the heart, the progeny of Satan and and his following devils get associated with it and lead to further darkness of evil.  They associate their evil powers with your hand made gods and  show some jugglery. As you watch this evil show, you start believing idols are associated with divinity and their hearts get hardened in darkness, meaning their hearts are sealed in ignorance.  If you reach this stage, there is very little hope that you will ever come back to the right path. This aspect has been described in Quran as follows.

It is in Quran - أَفَمَن شَرَحَ اللَّهُ صَدْرَهُ لِلْإِسْلَامِ فَهُوَ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ ۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُم مِّن ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ أُولَـٰئِكَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ [ If Allah renders one's heart content with submission, he will be following a light from his Lord. Therefore, woe to those whose hearts are hardened against Allah's message; they have gone far astray.] (Az-Zumar - 22).

The role of senses is important in shaping the true meanings (faith) in  your heart.  If these meanings are opposed to fact of the matter, this is not true faith,  it is a'biased faith'.

Many deviant sects among Muslims are suffering from the 'biased faith'.  Faith is the primary factor as far as salvation is concerned. If you do not have truthful faith, you have lost both the worlds.  All your Islamic deeds will of no use in Hereafter, if you profess a biased faith. The people who are struck with 'biased faith' never try to see logic.  For them the facts are not important. It is their conviction and dependence on their wrongful deviant scholars that matters.

The following Quranic verses explain that the punishment for  rejection of faith (kufr), and  punishment for 'not trying to understand true faith' or having biased faith and following deviancy, is the same.

It is in Quran -   كَذَ‌ٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ [ So Allah places degradation (subjects them to torment) on those who do not believe. (Al-An'aam - 125)

It is in Quran -  وَيَجْعَلُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ [ And He places degradation on  those (subjects them to torment) who have no understanding (about true faith). ]  ( Yunus - 100)

It is in Quran -  وَمَن كَانَ فِى هَـٰذِهِۦۤ أَعۡمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِى ٱلۡأَخِرَةِ أَعۡمَىٰ [ The one who is blind (about Sahih Iman) in this world, will be blind in Hereafter] (Al-Isra - 72).

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 057

وَقَالُوا إِنْ نَتَّبِعِ الْهُدَى مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَا أَوَلَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَهُمْ حَرَمًا آَمِنًا يُجْبَى إِلَيْهِ ثَمَرَاتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ رِزْقًا مِنْ لَدُنَّا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ [ They say (to the Prophet  ﷺ), 'If we were to follow the guidance with you, we would certainly be snatched away from our land.'  Have We not established for them a safe haven (in Makka) to which fruits of all kinds are brought as a provision from Us?  But most of them do not realize (this favor).  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 058

وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ بَطِرَتْ مَعِيشَتَهَا فَتِلْكَ مَسَاكِنُهُمْ لَمْ تُسْكَنْ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ الْوَارِثِينَ [ How many towns have We destroyed which lived in ease and plenty but were ungrateful? Here are their dwellings (in ruins), virtually uninhabited since their time.  We have inherited them.  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 059

وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ فِي أُمِّهَا رَسُولًا يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آَيَاتِنَا وَمَا كُنَّا مُهْلِكِي الْقُرَى إِلَّا وَأَهْلُهَا ظَالِمُونَ [ Your Lord would never destroy a society until He had sent to its capital an Apostle, reciting Our revelations to them. Nor would We ever destroy a society unless its people persisted in wrongdoing. ]
