Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 060

وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَمَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتُهَا وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ [ The possessions you have been granted are merely the provisions and adornments of the life of this world.  And what is with Allah is better and more lasting; so will you not use reason? ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 061

أَفَمَنْ وَعَدْنَاهُ وَعْدًا حَسَنًا فَهُوَ لَاقِيهِ كَمَنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُ مَتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ هُوَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ [ Is the one (who is a believer) who sees the fulfillment of the excellent promise We made to him (about the Hereafter),  like the one (who is a disbeliever) We provided with worldly enjoyment (but) who, on the Day of Resurrection, will be summoned (for punishment).? ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 062

وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ [ On that Day, Allah will call them (the idol worshipers) and say, 'Where are My partners whom you used to claim?' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 063

قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ [ Those (who led others to associate partners with Allah, and) against whom Allah's punishment has been decreed will say : 'Our Lord! Those whom we led astray, we led them astray just because we ourselves were astray (they imitated us out of their free will). Now in Your Presence we declare our innocence (of their taking us as partners with You). It was not us that they worshiped. (Rather, they worshiped their own desires). ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 064

وَقِيلَ ادْعُوا شُرَكَاءَكُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَهُمْ وَرَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَهْتَدُونَ  [ It will be said (to the disbelievers), 'Call upon your false gods you associated with Allah (for help).'  So they will call them, but will receive no response.  And they will face the punishment, wishing they had been (rightly) guided!  ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 065

وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ مَاذَا أَجَبْتُمُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [ On that Day, Allah will call them and Say : 'What was the answer you gave to (Our) Apostles?' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 066

فَعَمِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَنْبَاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَهُمْ لَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ [ They will be too dumbstruck on that Day to ask one another (for answers). ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 067

فَأَمَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآَمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَعَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُفْلِحِينَ [ Yet anyone who repented, believed and did good deeds (in this world) may possibly be among those who are successful. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 068

وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيَخْتَارُ مَا كَانَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ [ Your Lord creates whatever He wills and chooses; the choice is never theirs.  Glorified and Exalted is Allah above what they associate (with Him). ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 069

وَرَبُّكَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ [ Your Lord knows what they conceal in their hearts and what they disclose. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 070

There is no god but He.  All praise belongs to Him in this life and the next.   All authority is His.  And to Him you will (all) be returned. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 071

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ اللَّيْلَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِضِيَاءٍ أَفَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ [ Say, ‘Tell me, if Allah were to make the night perpetual over you until the Day of Resurrection, which (of your false) god,  other than Allah could bring you light? Will you not then listen?’ ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 072

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ النَّهَارَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِلَيْلٍ تَسْكُنُونَ فِيهِ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ [ Say, ‘Tell me, if Allah were to make the day perpetual over you until the Day of Resurrection, which (of your false) gods,  other than Allah could bring you night wherein you could rest? Will you not then perceive?’ ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 073

وَمِنْ رَحْمَتِهِ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ [ It is out of His Mercy that He has made for you the night and the day so that you may rest (during the night) and seek His bounty (during the day), and that you may be grateful. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 074

وَيَوْمَ يُنَادِيهِمْ فَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَائِيَ الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ [ On that Day He will call them and say, 'Where are those you used to claim as My partners?' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 075

وَنَزَعْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا فَقُلْنَا هَاتُوا بُرْهَانَكُمْ فَعَلِمُوا أَنَّ الْحَقَّ لِلَّهِ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ [ We will bring forth a witness from every nation and say, 'produce your evidence.' They will then know that the Truth belongs to Allah alone, and (the gods) they have invented have forsaken them. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 076

إِنَّ قَارُونَ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمِ مُوسَى فَبَغَى عَلَيْهِمْ وَآَتَيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْكُنُوزِ مَا إِنَّ مَفَاتِحَهُ لَتَنُوءُ بِالْعُصْبَةِ أُولِي الْقُوَّةِ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ قَوْمُهُ لَا تَفْرَحْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْفَرِحِينَ [ Indeed, Qaarun (Korah) was from the people of Musa (عليه السلام), but he behaved arrogantly towards them.  We had granted him such treasures that even their keys would burden a group of strong men. (Some of) his people advised him, (saying) 'Do not be prideful.  Surely Allah does not like the prideful. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 077

وَابْتَغِ فِيمَا آَتَاكَ اللَّهُ الدَّارَ الْآَخِرَةَ وَلَا تَنْسَ نَصِيبَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَأَحْسِنْ كَمَا أَحْسَنَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ وَلَا تَبْغِ الْفَسَادَ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُفْسِدِينَ [ So seek the abode of the Hereafter through charity from what Allah has given you, but forget not your share in this world.  Do good to others as Allah has done good to you, and do not try to spread corruption in the land. Surely Allah does not like corrupt ones. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 078

قَالَ إِنَّمَا أُوتِيتُهُ عَلَى عِلْمٍ عِنْدِي أَوَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَهْلَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مَنْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُ قُوَّةً وَأَكْثَرُ جَمْعًا وَلَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذُنُوبِهِمُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ  [ He said : 'I have attained all this (wealth) only because of my own acumen.'  Did he not realize that Allah had annihilated before him generations that were much stronger than he, and greater in riches.  The transgressors were not asked about their crimes. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 079

فَخَرَجَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ فِي زِينَتِهِ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا يَا لَيْتَ لَنَا مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ قَارُونُ إِنَّهُ لَذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ  [ (Qaarun) showed off before his people all his pomp. Those who cared only for the life of this world said : 'Ah, if we  had the like of what Qaarun has been given! What immense good fortune he possesses.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 080

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَيْلَكُمْ ثَوَابُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لِمَنْ آَمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَلَا يُلَقَّاهَا إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ   [ But those who had been given the knowledge (of truth) said : 'Woe to you! The reward of Allah (in the Hereafter) is better for those who believe and do righteous deeds; and none shall attain it except those who are patient.' ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 081

فَخَسَفْنَا بِهِ وَبِدَارِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهُ مِنْ فِئَةٍ يَنْصُرُونَهُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُنْتَصِرِينَ [ And We caused the earth to swallow him and his house. There was no one to help him against Allah, nor could he help himself. ]

Qaaroon was from the Children of Israel during Prophet Musa's (عليه السلام) time.  Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) describes that he was very rich and proud person.  He was punished for his wrong doings as earth swallowed him.

It is reported that there was a big explosion and a loud noise and when people went out of their houses, they realized that the palace of Qaaroon along with his wealth was swallowed by  earth and there was no trace of him.
It is in Hadith -  It is reported by Salim who said that his father told him that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said : While a man was dragging his lower garment (in pride), he was swallowed up and he will remain sinking down into the earth until the Day of Resurrection. (Bukhari)

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 082

وَأَصْبَحَ الَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا مَكَانَهُ بِالْأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَوْلَا أَنْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا وَيْكَأَنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ  [ And those who had craved his position the previous day began to say, 'Ah! It is certainly Allah Who gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever He wills of His servants. But for Allah's favor upon us, He could have made us to be swallowed too. Alas, we had forgotten that the unbelievers do not prosper.

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 083

تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآَخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًا وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ  [ As for the (reward of the) abode of the Hereafter, We have reserved it for those who seek neither glory nor corruption in the earth; the ultimate good is for the righteous. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 084

مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْهَا وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَى الَّذِينَ عَمِلُوا السَّيِّئَاتِ إِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ  [ Whoever comes (on the Day of Judgment) with a good deed will have a better reward, and whoever comes with an evil deed will be punished only for what they have done.]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 085

إِنَّ الَّذِي فَرَضَ عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآَنَ لَرَادُّكَ إِلَى مَعَادٍ قُلْ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْهُدَى وَمَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ  [ Surely He Who has entrusted you (O' Prophet  ﷺ) with the (responsibility of conveying) the Quran, will certainly bring you round to the fulfillment of the promise (you will be returned in victory to the home you were compelled to abandon). Tell them : 'My Lord knows best,  who has the (true) guidance and who is lost in obvious error.']

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 086

وَمَا كُنْتَ تَرْجُو أَنْ يُلْقَى إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابُ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ ظَهِيرًا لِلْكَافِرِينَ  [ You yourself could not have expected the book (the Quran) to be sent to you; it came only as a mercy from your Lord.  So do not lend any support to those who  reject faith. ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 087

وَلَا يَصُدُّنَّكَ عَنْ آَيَاتِ اللَّهِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أُنْزِلَتْ إِلَيْكَ وَادْعُ إِلَى رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ [ And never let them prevent you from the verses of Allah after they have been sent down to you.  Call people towards your Lord and never let them be among those who ascribe partners (to Allah). ]

Juz 20, Al-Qasas, Verse 088

وَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آَخَرَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ  [ And (let them) not invoke any other god with Allah. There is no god but He.  Everything is bound to perish except His Entity.  All authority belongs to Him. And to Him you will (all) return.]
