JUZ 22.2  WAMAN YAQNUT  (وَمَنْ يَقْنُتْ)

Al-Ahzaab| Sura # 33| 73 Verses | Madinan

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate and the Merciful

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 054
Whether you reveal anything or conceal, surely Allah has  knowledge of all things. ]
Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 055
لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِنَّ فِي آَبَائِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَائِهِنَّ وَلَا إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاءِ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ وَلَا أَبْنَاءِ أَخَوَاتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَائِهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُنَّ وَاتَّقِينَ اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا [ There is no blame on women if they appear (unveiled in their modest dress) in front of their fathers, their sons, their brothers, their brothers' sons, their sisters' sons, their familiar women and those whom their right hands possess (slaves).   O' Women, have fear of Allah,  for Allah is a witness to all things. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 056
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا [ Allah and His angels send blessings (and salutations) on Prophet Mohammad : O’ believers Send your salutations and reverence on him, and salute him with all respects. ]

The above verse is a commandment of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) for recitation of Durood on Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم).  The more you recite, the bigger is the reward in both the worlds.

Durood (اللهم صلِّ على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين)  is the remembrance of  Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) which is obligatory on all Muslims.

(ii) It is in Hadith - Abdullah bin Masud (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) narrates that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)  said : 'On the day of Resurrection the person closest to me will be the one who has sent the most Durood on me.' (Tirmidhi)

(iii) It is in Hadith  - Abdulla bin Amr bin Al-Aas (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) reported : I heard the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) saying : 'Whoever supplicates Allah to exalt for me (recites Durood), Allah would exalt him ten times.' (Muslim)

(iv) It is in Hadith - The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said : Before whomsoever my name is mentioned, he should recite durood  upon me.' (Nasa'i)

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 057
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ لَعَنَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآَخِرَةِ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا مُهِينًا [ Surely those who hurt Allah and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) (by their loose talk), are cursed by Allah in this world and in the hereafter. He has prepared for them a humiliating punishment. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 058
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ بِغَيْرِ مَا اكْتَسَبُوا فَقَدِ احْتَمَلُوا بُهْتَانًا وَإِثْمًا مُبِينًا [ Those who hurt believing men and women for what they have not done, will bear the guilt of slander and flagrant sin. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 059
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَنْ يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا [ O Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their cloaks over their bodies. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized (as virtuous) and not be harassed. And Allah is All Forgiving, Most Merciful. ]
Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) commands Muslim women to wear  Cloak/veil so that they are recognized as virtuous women and not be harassed.
Different kinds of veils/cloaks are used by Muslim women in the world, as follows.
(i) Niqab - The niqab is a veil/cloak that covers  the whole body but leaves the area around the eyes clear.
(ii) Burqa - Burka is the most concealing of all Islamic veils. It is a one-piece veil/cloak that covers the face and body, often leaving just a mesh screen to see through.
(iii) Al-Amira - It  is a two-piece veil/clock. It consists of a close fitting cap and a tube-like scarf.
(iv) Chador - The chador is a full-body cloak. It is often accompanied by a small headscarf underneath.
(v) Khimar - The khimar is a long, cape-like veil that hangs down to just above the waist. It covers the hair, neck and shoulders completely, and leaves the face clear.
(vi) Shayla - The shayla is a long, rectangular scarf which is wrapped around the head and tucked or pinned in place at the shoulders.
(vii) Hijab  - Hijab is a headscarf worn by Muslim women. These scarves come in many styles and colors.  Most commonly worn scarf covers the head and neck and leaves the face clear.
The women wearing Khimar, Shyla or Hijab generally prefer to  wear loose fitting cloths/cloak in such a way that they are recognized as virtuous.
Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 060
لَئِنْ لَمْ يَنْتَهِ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْمُرْجِفُونَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ لَنُغْرِيَنَّكَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ لَا يُجَاوِرُونَكَ فِيهَا إِلَّا قَلِيلًا [ If the hypocrites, those in whose hearts there is a disease (of evil desires), and those who spread false rumors among the people of Madinah, do not desist, We shall let you overpower them, then they will not be able to stay in the city as your neighbors but for a little while. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 061
They will be rejected. Wherever they are found, they will be arrested and put to death. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 062
سُنَّةَ اللَّهِ فِي الَّذِينَ خَلَوْا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ اللَّهِ تَبْدِيلًا  [ That was Allah’s way with those (hypocrites) who have gone before.  And you will find no change in Allah’s way. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 063
يَسْأَلُكَ النَّاسُ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّ السَّاعَةَ تَكُونُ قَرِيبًا [ People ask you about the Hour (of Judgment). Say, 'Allah alone has Knowledge of It. You never know; the Hour may be near.' ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 064
The unbelievers have earned Allah's anger, and He has prepared a Blazing Fire for them. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 065
They will abide therein forever. Neither will they find a protector nor a helper. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 066
يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ يَقُولُونَ يَا لَيْتَنَا أَطَعْنَا اللَّهَ وَأَطَعْنَا الرَّسُولَا [ On the Day when their faces are turned over and over in the Fire, they will exclaim, 'woe to us! Would that we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Apostle ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 067
And they will say, 'Our Lord! We obeyed our leaders and elite, but they led us astray from the (right) path. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 068
Our Lord! 'Give them double punishment and lay upon them a mighty curse.' ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 069
Be not be like those who slandered Musa (عليه السلام), but Allah cleared him of what they said, for he was honorable in the sight of Allah. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 070
O' Believers, be mindful of Allah, and say what is right. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 071
يُصْلِحْ لَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ذُنُوبَكُمْ وَمَنْ يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِيمًا [ That He will make your deeds good and upright and forgive your sins. Whoever obeys Allah and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) has surely attained a mighty triumph. ]

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 072
إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْأَمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَأَبَيْنَ أَنْ يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَأَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْإِنْسَانُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا [ We had offered the Trust (of divine commandments) to the skies, the earth, the mountains, but they refrained from bearing the burden and were frightened of it; but man took it on himself. (Alas, many do not realize it.) They are inept and foolish. ]
The meaning of Trust (الْأَمَانَةَ) in the above verse is the crown of vicegerent  (تاجِ خِلافت)
It is in Quran  -  وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً  [ And when Allah  addressed the angels (saying)  I am  going to make a Vicegerent on Earth.  ] (Al-Baqara -30)
It is in Quran -  وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَائِفَ الْأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا آتَاكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيعُ الْعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ [ And He is Who has made you successors upon the Earth and has raised some of you above others in ranks  that  He will see you through what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in retribution; and He is (also) Forgiving and Merciful.] (Al-An'aam - 165)

It is the wisdom of Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) that very single creation is appropriate in its place within their environment. When Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) informed the angels that He is going to create a vicegerent on Earth, it meant that His real Khalifa, Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) was to come from among human beings.

It is in Hadith - Umar bin al-Khattab (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) said, when Prophet Adam (عليه السلام) said, O' my Lord, I ask you for the sake of Mohammad (بحق محمد صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) to forgive me. He (Allah - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) said, How did you know Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)?  He said, because when you created me with Your hands and blew into me from Your spirit, I raised my head and I saw on the Arsh it was written [There is no god, but Allah, and Mohammad is the Apostle of Allah]. So I knew You would not put next to your name except the one who is the most beloved to You.  'He said, you have said the truth, O'Adam (عليه السلام) and if it were not for Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), I would not have created you.] (Al-Mustadrak al-Hakim, who said it is Sahih)

It is in Hadith - Abu Hurairah (رضئ اللہ تعالی عنہ) narrated, 'they asked, O'Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم), when was prophet-hood established for you?  He said, while Adam (عليه السلام) was between the soul and body' (Tirmidhi).

Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) wants humans to realize that they are His chosen creation, His servants, among whom His beloved Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) has appeared.  It is a great distinction for human beings among Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) creations.  Therefore, man needs to choose Allah's (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) obedience and should be grateful to Him. Those who do not realize it and deny Him, will be subjected to punishment.

Juz 22, Al-Ahzab, Verse 073
لِيُعَذِّبَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتِ وَالْمُشْرِكِينَ وَالْمُشْرِكَاتِ وَيَتُوبَ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا [ (This is the reason why) Allah punishes the hypocrites, men and women, as well as the men and women who associate others (idols) with Him.  And why Allah turns mercifully towards the believing men and women, because He is Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful.]
