JUZ 23.4  WAMA LIYA  (وَمَا لِيَ)

 

 

سورة الصافات

THOSE DRAWN UP IN RANKS
 

As-Saaffaat| Sura # 37 | 182 Verses | Makkan

 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ 

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate and the Merciful
 
 
Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 031
 
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَا إِنَّا لَذَائِقُونَ [ 'The decree of our Lord has come to pass against us (all) : we will certainly taste (the punishment).' ]
 
 
Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 032
 
فَأَغْوَيْنَاكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَاوِينَ [ 'We misled you, and we were ourselves misled.' ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 033
 
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ  [ Surely on that Day they will (all) share the punishment. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 034
 
إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ  [ Thus, shall We deal with the criminals. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 035
 
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ [ When they were told : 'There is no god but Allah,' they used to puff themselves up with pride. ]

وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوا آَلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَجْنُونٍ [ And said : 'Should we abandon our gods for the sake of an insane poet?' ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 037
 
بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ [ In fact, he came with the truth, confirming (earlier) Apostles. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 038
 
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَائِقُواْ الْعَذَابِ الْأَلِيمِ [ Surely, you shall taste the painful punishment. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 039
 
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ [ And you will be repaid only for what you used to do. ]

إِلَّا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ [ Except for Allah´s sincere servants. ]

أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌ مَعْلُومٌ [ For them there is (in Paradise) a special provision. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 042
 
فَوَاكِهُ وَهُمْ مُكْرَمُونَ [ (And) fruits (of every type). And they will be honored,]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 043
 
فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ [ in the gardens of bliss,]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 044
 
عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ [ on the thrones facing one another. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 045
 
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ [ A cup from a flowing spring will be passed among them, ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 046
 
بَيْضَاءَ لَذَّةٍ لِلشَّارِبِينَ [ crystal-white, delicious to drink. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 047
 
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنْزَفُونَ [ It will neither harm (them), nor will they be intoxicated by it. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 048
 
وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ عِينٌ [ With them will be chaste females restraining their glances (for their husbands) with wide and beautiful eyes, ]

كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌ مَكْنُونٌ [ as if they were pristine pearls. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 050
 
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ [ Then they will turn to one another inquisitively. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 051
 
قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْهُمْ إِنِّي كَانَ لِي قَرِينٌ [ One of them will say, 'I once had a companion (in the world), ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 052
 
يَقُولُ أَئِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الْمُصَدِّقِينَ [ who used to ask (me), ‘Do you actually believe (in resurrection)?' ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 053
 
أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَئِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ [ 'When we have, died and become dust and bones, will we be called to account?' ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 054
 
قَالَ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُطَّلِعُونَ [ It will be said (to him) : 'Will you (like to) look down (to see your friend)?' ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 055
 
فَاطَّلَعَ فَرَآَهُ فِي سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ [ Then he (and others) will look and spot him in the midst of the Hellfire. ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 056
 
قَالَ تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كِدْتَ لَتُرْدِينِ [ He would call out (to his ex-friend in the Hellfire), 'I swear by Allah, you had almost ruined me.' ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 057
 
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّي لَكُنْتُ مِنَ الْمُحْضَرِينَ [ Had it not been for the grace of my Lord, I (too) would have certainly been among those brought (to Hell).']

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 058
 
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ [ (The believers in paradise will say) : 'Are we then never to die (again), ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 059
 
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا الْأُولَى وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ [ except for our first death, and will we really not be punished?' ]

 

Juz 23, As-Saaffaat, Verse 060
 
إِنَّ هَذَا لَهُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ [ Truly, this is the ultimate success. ]
