JUZ 25.3  ILAYHI YURADDU  (إِلَيْهِ يُرَدُّ)

Az-Zukhruf| Sura # 43| 89 Verses | Makkan

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate and the Merciful
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 001
Ha-meem ]
'Ha-meem'  is known as ‘Solemn Verse' (Ayat-e-Muqatta'at - آیتِ مقطعات).
Fourteen Arabic alphabets have been used, in varied combinations,  in  14 ‘Solemn Verses' (Ayaat-e-Muqatta'at - آیاتِ مقطعات) in the form of initials  of  29 Chapters (سورة) of holy Quran.   Ha-meem ( حم )  is one of them.
Since Quran is 'Mubeen' (الْمُبِينِ);  its description is clear and manifest. The meanings of all the verses of Quran, including  'Solemn Verses' (آیاتِ مقطعات) are surely known to its principle addressee, ie., Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم).  It is also likely that Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) has informed the meanings of these Verses to some of his Sahabah and  Awliya Allah.
We believe  in whatever is meant by the 'Solemn Verses' (آیاتِ مقطعات) by Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم).
Since we have been commanded to read the Quran carefully and try to understand the significance of every verse of the Quran, we do ponder over these verses.  And when we think, by focusing our attention towards Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) and His Apostle Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) for guidance,  it comes to our mind that the 'Solemn Verses' (آیاتِ مقطعات) are actually the 'Solemn Titles of Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) given by Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) throughout the Quran.  Our understanding is based on the fact that Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) has addressed Prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) in the Quran by specific names, like Muzzammil (مزمل - O' beloved who covers self  in a coverlet), Muddassir (مدثر  -  O' beloved, who covers self in a bed sheet).  With this understanding, it is most likely that  Prophet’s (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم) other names / titles  have been mentioned in Quran  by denoting certain initials/alphabets.

Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 002
By the manifest book. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 003
Indeed, We have revealed this Quran in the Arabic language, so you may understand (its meanings). ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 004
وَإِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ [ It certainly comes from the mother of the books with Us, (The knowledge of Allah - علمِ الهي). It (the Quran) is exalted and full of wisdom. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 005
Should we then withdraw the Reminder from you, (just) because you are excessive in your rejection?]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 006
And how many prophets have We sent among the previous people? ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 007
And they used to ridicule every one of them. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 008
We destroyed people mightier than these (Makkan polytheists), and their example has gone before. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 009
وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ  [ If you ask them (O Prophet ﷺ) who created the heavens and the earth, they will certainly say, '(Allah) the Almighty, All Knowing did.' ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 010
He, who made the earth a bed for you, and laid out tracks upon it so that you may find the way; ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 011
وَالَّذِي نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنْشَرْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتًا كَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ  [ and Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure. Then We revive a dead land from it, and similarly you will be brought out (from the dead again), ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 012
وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ [ And (He is the One) Who created all (things in) pairs, and made for you ships and animals to ride. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 013
لِتَسْتَوُوا عَلَى ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ [ In order that you may mount firmly on their backs, and then may remember the Favor of your Lord when you mount on them, and say : 'Glory to Allah who has subjected this to us, and we could never have the ability for it (by our efforts), ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 014
And surely to our Lord we will (all) return.' ]
It is important that everyone of us recites the above two verses whenever he travels using any kind of transport, like, plane, train, car or ship or while riding on horses or camels, etc.
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 015
وَجَعَلُوا لَهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ جُزْءًا إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ مُبِينٌ [ Yet in spite of recognizing all this, they have made some of His servants to be a part of Him! Surely mankind is clearly ungrateful. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 016
Or has He taken daughters out of what He has created, and has He selected for you sons? ]
Before the advent of Islam, Pagan Arabs believed Angels to be the daughters of Allah.
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 017
وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُمْ بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ [ Yet when news of (the birth of a daughter), they had reserved for the Most Compassionate (Allah), comes to one of them, his face is blackened (with shame), and he grieves in silence inwardly. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 018
أَوَمَنْ يُنَشَّأُ فِي الْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِي الْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍ [ (You associate with Allah) the offspring that is brought up adorned with jewelry, but cannot help in  fighting (with the enemy). ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 019
وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَادُ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنَاثًا أَشَهِدُوا خَلْقَهُمْ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَادَتُهُمْ وَيُسْأَلُونَ [ Still they have labelled the angels, who are servants of the Most Compassionate (Allah) as female. Did they witness their creation? Their statement will be recorded, and they will be questioned! ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 020
وَقَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ الرَّحْمَنُ مَا عَبَدْنَاهُمْ مَا لَهُمْ بِذَلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ [ They also say : 'If the Most Compassionate (Allah) had so willed, we would not have worshiped them (deities/idols/angels).' They have no knowledge whatsoever about it.   Indeed, they only judge and speak according to their own fancies and interests. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 021
Or have We given them a Book prior to this one (the Quran), to which they are adhering? ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 022
بَلْ قَالُوا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آَبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آَثَارِهِمْ مُهْتَدُونَ [ In fact, they say, 'We found our forefathers following a (particular) way, and we are following in their footsteps.' ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 023
وَكَذَلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آَبَاءَنَا عَلَى أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَى آَثَارِهِمْ مُقْتَدُونَ [ Similarly, every time We sent someone (a prophet) before you to a town to warn them, those corrupted by abundance (of provisions) would say, 'We found our fathers following this path, and we are following in their footsteps.' ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 024
قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِأَهْدَى مِمَّا وَجَدْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ آَبَاءَكُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ [ Each Warner (prophet) asked : 'What if I bring you better guidance than that which your forefathers practiced?' But they replied : 'Well! We reject the faith with which you have been sent.' ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 025
Thus, We punished them;  see then what was the end of those who disbelieved? ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 026
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ [ (Remember) when Ibrahim (عليه السلام) said to his father (the brother of his father) and his people : 'Surely, I renounce (deities) that you worship, ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 027
إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ [  except Him (alone) who created me,  for He will guide me the right path.']
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 028
And he left this enduring declaration among his descendants, so they may (always) turn back (to Allah). ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 029
بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَؤُلَاءِ وَآَبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّى جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ [ Yes, I gave the good things of this life to these (Makkans) and their (fore) fathers, till there came to them the truth (the Quran) and an Apostle (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)  making things clear. ]
Juz 25, Az-Zukhruf, Verse 030
But now when the truth has come to them, they say : 'This is magic and we do not believe it.' ]
