JUZ 26.7  HA-MEEN  (حم)

 

 

سورة الذاريات

THE WINNOWING WINDS
 

Adh-Dhaariyat| Sura # 51| 60 Verses | Makkan

 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ 

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate and the Merciful

 

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 001
 
وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا  [ By (the winds) that scatter dust; ]

Whenever Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) says 'By something', it means that He is swearing by that thing to emphasize the importance of that matter.

 
 
Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 002
 
فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا  [ which carry clouds,  laden with water, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 003
 
فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا  [ then (the winds) float slowly, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 004
 
فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا [ and distribute the (rain) as ordained. ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 005
 
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ [ Surely (O' disbelievers) which you are warned is true; ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 006
 
وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ [ and surely, the Day of Judgment will take place. ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 007
 
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ [ And  By the heavens with its numerous forms. ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 008
 
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُخْتَلِفٍ [ Surely you contradict one another in what you say, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 009
 
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ [ Only the perverse persons turn away from the truth.]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 010
 
قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ [ Condemned are the liars,]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 011
 
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ [ those who are (steeped) in ignorance, totally heedless.]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 012
 
يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ [ They ask (mockingly), 'When is this Day of Judgment?' ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 013
 
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ   [ It will be the Day when they will be punished in the fire. ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 014
 
ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ [ (They will be told), 'Taste your torment!  This is what you sought to hasten.' ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 015
 
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ  [ Indeed, the righteous will be in the gardens and springs, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 016
 
آَخِذِينَ مَا آَتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ  [ accepting what their Lord has given them. Verily, they were those who were pious. ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 017
 
كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ  [ They used to sleep but little in the night, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 018
 
وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ  [ praying at dawn for Allah’s forgiveness, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 019
 
وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ  [ and share their wealth with the needy who asked for it,  and those who did not ask (but were needy). ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 020
 
وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آَيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ  [ For those who have a firm faith, there are (convincing) signs on this earth, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 021
 
وَفِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ  [ and also in your own selves; can you not see? ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 022
 
وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ  [ In the sky is your sustenance (from rain you get all your vegetation); and that which you are being promised (in the afterlife). ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 023
 
فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ  [ By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true,  as true as the fact of your speaking.]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 024
 
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ  [ Has the story of the honored guests (angels) of Ibrahim (عليه السلام) reached you? ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 025
 
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ  [ When they came to him, and said, 'Peace be on you!' He answered : 'Peace be on you,' and said, 'You are people unknown to me.' ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 026
 
فَرَاغَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ  [ Then he went (inside the house) to his family, and brought back a fat (roasted) calf, ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 027
 
فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ  [ and placed it in front of them, asking, 'Will you not eat?' ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 028
 
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ  [ When he saw them not eating, he became afraid of them. They said, 'Have no fear,' and they gave him good news of a son (to be born to him) endowed with knowledge. ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 029
 
فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ [ His wife came forward, slapped her forehead and exclaimed loudly, '(I am) old and barren!' ]

 

Juz 26, Adh-Dhaariyat, Verse 030
 
قَالُوا كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ [ They said, this is how your Lord has ordained.   Surely, He is All Wise, All Knowing. ]
