JUZ 29.12  TABARAKALLATHI (تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي)

 

 

سورة المدثر

THE CLOAKED ONE
 

Al-Muddaththir| Sura # 74| 56 Verses | Makkan

 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ 

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 029
 
لَوَّاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِ [ It scorches people's skin. ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 030
 
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ [ Over it are nineteen (angels as  keepers of Hell).]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 031
 
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ إِلَّا مَلَائِكَةً وَمَا جَعَلْنَا عِدَّتَهُمْ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِيَسْتَيْقِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَيَزْدَادَ الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا إِيمَانًا وَلَا يَرْتَابَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَلِيَقُولَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْكَافِرُونَ مَاذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِهَذَا مَثَلًا كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ جُنُودَ رَبِّكَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَمَا هِيَ إِلَّا ذِكْرَى لِلْبَشَرِ [ We have chosen to appoint the angels as wardens over Hell, and We let their number be a trial for the unbelievers. So that, those given the scriptures may believe, and the believers may increase in their belief. Both; those given the scriptures,  and the believers, may not entertain doubts. Yet, those with disease in their hearts, and the unbelievers, would still say, 'What does Allah mean by this example?' Thus, Allah leads astray whom He wants, and guides whom He wants. No one knows the soldiers of Allah except He.  This is nothing but a reminder for the people.]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 032
 
كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ [ But no! By the moon,]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 033
 
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذْ أَدْبَرَ [ and the night as it retreats, ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 034
 
وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا أَسْفَرَ [ and by the dawn when it brightens, ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 035
 
إِنَّهَا لَإِحْدَى الْكُبَرِ [ surely, it (Hell) is one of the greatest signs, ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 036
 
نَذِيرًا لِلْبَشَرِ [ a warning to human beings, ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 037
 
لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَتَقَدَّمَ أَوْ يَتَأَخَّرَ [ to any of you that chooses to go forward (by righteous deeds), or remain behind (in sins). ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 038
 
كُلُّ نَفْسٍ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ رَهِينَةٌ [ Every person is held in pledge for all that he has done.]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 039
 
إِلَّا أَصْحَابَ الْيَمِينِ [ Except the people (righteous ones) of the right hand, ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 040
 
فِي جَنَّاتٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ [ who will be in Gardens, asking one another ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 041
 
عَنِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ [about the wicked. ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 042
 
مَا سَلَكَكُمْ فِي سَقَرَ [ (They will ask the people in Hell) 'What has landed you in Hell?' ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 043
 
قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ [ They will reply, 'We were not of those who prayed, ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 044
 
وَلَمْ نَكُ نُطْعِمُ الْمِسْكِينَ [ we did not feed the poor. ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 045
 
وَكُنَّا نَخُوضُ مَعَ الْخَائِضِينَ [ And we used to indulge in vain talk with those who indulged (in mocking the believers). ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 046
 
وَكُنَّا نُكَذِّبُ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ [ And we used to deny the Day of Judgement, ]
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 047
 
حَتَّى أَتَانَا الْيَقِينُ [ until there came to us the certainty (death). ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 048
 
فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِعِينَ [ So the pleas of intercessors will be of no benefit to them. ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 049
 
فَمَا لَهُمْ عَنِ التَّذْكِرَةِ مُعْرِضِينَ [ Then what is wrong with them (disbelievers) that they turn away from receiving the admonition? ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 050
 
كَأَنَّهُمْ حُمُرٌ مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ  [ As if they were panicked donkeys, ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 051
 
فَرَّتْ مِنْ قَسْوَرَةٍ  [ fleeing from the lion ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 052
 
بَلْ يُرِيدُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُؤْتَى صُحُفًا مُنَشَّرَةً  [ In fact, each one of them wishes to be given a (personal) letter (from Allah) for all (to read). ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 053
 
كَلَّا بَلْ لَا يَخَافُونَ الْآَخِرَةَ  [ But no! In fact, they do not fear the Hereafter. ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 054
 
كَلَّا إِنَّهُ تَذْكِرَةٌ  [ Nay, surely, this (Quran) is an admonition. ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 055
 
فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ  [ Whoever wants, may heed (its warning). ]
 
 
 
Juz 29, Al-Muddaththir, Verse 056
 
وَمَا يَذْكُرُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ هُوَ أَهْلُ التَّقْوَى وَأَهْلُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ [ But they will not heed unless Allah so wills. He is Worthy of being feared, and He is the One Who forgives! ]
