سورة النازعات

THOSE WHO WRENCH OUT
 

An-Naazi'aat| Sura # 79| 46 Verses | Makkan

 

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ 

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate and Most Merciful
 
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 001
 
وَالنَّازِعَاتِ غَرْقًا [ By (I swear by) those (angels) who (forcefully) wrench out (the souls of the unbelievers). ]
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 002
 
وَالنَّاشِطَاتِ نَشْطًا [ And  By those (angels) who gently draw out (the souls of the believers), ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 003
 
وَالسَّابِحَاتِ سَبْحًا  [ And those (angels) who swiftly glide along (in the universe).]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 004
 
فَالسَّابِقَاتِ سَبْقًا   [ (And) By those (angels) who press forward in  race (to fulfill Allah’s commandments). ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 005
 
فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا [ And those (angels) who regulate the affairs of the world (by Allah's command). ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 006
 
يَوْمَ تَرْجُفُ الرَّاجِفَةُ [ That day (of Resurrection), a violent jolt (blowing of the trumpet)  will rock (the earth).]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 007
 
تَتْبَعُهَا الرَّادِفَةُ [ The second blowing of the trumpet will follow it.]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 008
 
قُلُوبٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاجِفَةٌ [ That day, hearts would pound (in panic).]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 009
 
أَبْصَارُهَا خَاشِعَةٌ [ And eyes would drift downward (with dread).]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 010
 
أَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَمَرْدُودُونَ فِي الْحَافِرَةِ [ (But) the unbelievers (do not believe, and) say (mockingly),  'shall we really be restored to our former state (of life again),]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 011
 
أَئِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا نَخِرَةً [ even after we have been reduced to decayed bones?']
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 012
 
قَالُوا تِلْكَ إِذًا كَرَّةٌ خَاسِرَةٌ [ Adding, 'Then such a return would be a (total) loss (for us)!' ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 013
 
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ [ But (they don't realize that) it will only be a single sounding (of the trumpet),  ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 014
 
فَإِذَا هُمْ بِالسَّاهِرَةِ [ and they will be back to life in open plain. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 015
 
هَلْ أتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَى [ Has the story of Musa (عليه السلام) reached you (O' Prophet  ﷺ)? ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 016
 
إِذْ نَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى [ When his Lord called out to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 017
 
اذْهَبْ إِلَى فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُ طَغَى [ (commanding) 'Go to Pharaoh, as he has surely transgressed (all bounds). ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 018
 
فَقُلْ هَلْ لَكَ إِلَى أَنْ تَزَكَّى [ And ask him, ‘do you have the desire to purify yourself (from sins)? ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 019
 
وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَى [ If so, I shall guide you towards your Lord, so that you may fear Him.' ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 020
 
فَأَرَاهُ الْآَيَةَ الْكُبْرَى [ (Thus) He (Prophet Musa عليه السلام) went to the Pharaoh and) showed him the great sign (the miracle of the Staff). ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 021
 
فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَى [ But Pharaoh rejected the offer and disobeyed. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 022
 
ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَى [ Then he hastily turned away. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 023
 
فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَى [Then he assembled his people and made an announcement,]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 024
 
فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَى [ saying, 'I am your lord most high.']
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 025
 
فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآَخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَى [ So Allah seized him, making him an example in this life and the next. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 026
 
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِمَنْ يَخْشَى [ Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (Allah). ]
 
Allah (عَزَّ وَجَلَّ) provides respite to the transgressors for a while and allows them some time to repent.  If they persist in their transgression, He seizes them and punishes them in this World itself and their punishment in the Hereafter is much more severe. 
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 027
 
أَأَنْتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ السَّمَاءُ بَنَاهَا [ O' mankind, is your creation harder than the heavens He built? ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 028
 
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّاهَا [ He raised it high and perfected it. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 029
 
وَأَغْطَشَ لَيْلَهَا وَأَخْرَجَ ضُحَاهَا [ He gave darkness to the night and brightness to the day. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 030
 
وَالْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ دَحَاهَا [ As for the earth, He spread it out as well. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 031
 
أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَاءَهَا وَمَرْعَاهَا [ From it, He produced its water and its pasture.]
 
 

Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 032
 
وَالْجِبَالَ أَرْسَاهَا [ And He set the mountains firmly in place. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 033
 
مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ [ All as (a means of) sustenance for you and your animals. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 034
 
فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الطَّامَّةُ الْكُبْرَى [ But when the greatest catastrophe (the Day of  Resurrection ) will strike.]
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 035
 
يَوْمَ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا سَعَى [ On that Day every person will remember all (his) striving (in the world). ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 036
 
وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِمَنْ يَرَى [ And the Hellfire will be displayed for all to see.]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 037
 
فَأَمَّا مَنْ طَغَى [ As for the one who rebelled,]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 038
 
وَآَثَرَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا  [ and preferred the life of this world, ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 039
 
فَإِنَّ الْجَحِيمَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى  [ surely, will have his abode in Hell. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 040
 
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ وَنَهَى النَّفْسَ عَنِ الْهَوَى [ But the one who feared standing before his Lord and restrained himself from evil desires, ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 041
 
فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ هِيَ الْمَأْوَى [ shall have his home in paradise. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 042
 
يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا [ They ask you ( O' Noble Apostle  ﷺ) about the Hour, 'When will it take place?' ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 043
 
فِيمَ أَنْتَ مِنْ ذِكْرَاهَا [ (Tell them) it is not your responsibility to tell about its time. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 044
 
إِلَى رَبِّكَ مُنْتَهَاهَا [ (As) only your Lord knows when it will come. ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 045
 
إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُنْذِرُ مَنْ يَخْشَاهَا [ You are to warn anyone who fears (that day). ]
 
 
Juz 30, An-Naazi'aat, Verse 046
 
كَأَنَّهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا إِلَّا عَشِيَّةً أَوْ ضُحَاهَا [ The day when they see it (its occurrence), it will seem (to them that) they had stayed in the world but only an evening or its turning into dawn. ]
